DX53D steel
The hot-dip galvanized steel DX53D in accordance with standard 10346 is a modern material that has been specially developed for demanding cold forming processes. With the material number 1.0951 (formerly 1.0355), this steel belongs to the soft steels and is classified as a deep-drawing grade. The integrated hot-dip galvanizing process applies a durable zinc coating that provides reliable corrosion protection and makes the steel resistant even under adverse environmental conditions. In addition, the wide range of coating variants – +Z, +ZF, +ZA, +ZM, +AZ and +AS – ensure individual adaptation to specific requirements in different manufacturing processes.

DX53D Steel Welding Methods
Our DX53D steel is suitable for a variety of welding processes, which can meet various application requirements while ensuring joint strength and reliability. Our welding process pays attention to details to ensure that every welded joint can meet the highest standards.
1. Welding Methods
: This method is a go-to for thin sections and fast applications. It's efficient and gives strong joints without much hassle-a great choice for high-speed production.
: For thicker sections, arc welding is the way to go. It provides deeper penetration and creates solid joints that can handle stress, making it a favorite in structural work.
: If you need continuous joints, seam welding has you covered. It's perfect for applications needing airtight or watertight seals, like fluid or air-tight components.
These methods make DX53D flexible and adaptable, letting you use it in both sturdy structural parts and precision pieces.
2. Considerations
For best results with DX53D, heat control is key. As a low-carbon steel, too much heat can weaken its strength and surface. Keep heat input low, use the right electrode, and maintain steady welding speed-this keeps joints strong and clean, with minimal defects. With a bit of care, DX53D can handle almost any welding job.

What is the difference between DX53D+Z and DX51D+Z?
DX53D+Z: DX53D+Z zinc plating generally adopts DC03 or DC04 substrate.
DX51D+Z: The galvanizing of DX51D+Z adopts DC01 substrate.
DX53D+Z: It has good appearance and good adaptability in welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, etc.
DX51D+Z: The carbon content is small, the elongation is higher, and the stamping and ductility are general.
The price of galvanized sheet DX53D+Z is higher than that of galvanized sheet DX51D+Z.
